Layne Horgan, who has served as an invited professor of EFL for 20 years since September 2003, retired at the end of August this year. Professor Horgan made significant contributions, particularly during his 10-year tenure as Assistant Director of the EFL program from January 2014 to January 2024. As Assistant Director, he coordinated class schedules for EFL professors, oversaw the EFL committees, and managed the English Clinic. He also played a crucial role in resolving various issues faced by EFL professors. After retirement, Professor Horgan is returning to Wenatchee, Washington, in the United States.
