Four Tenure-Track Faculty Positions at KAIST
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Convergence Science at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) invites applications for four tenure-track positions in the areas of (1) Sociology, (2) Philosophy, (3) Social Psychology, (4) Digital Humanities. We are looking for scholars in these fields with tangible prospects of interdisciplinary research conducted in close partnership with engineering and natural science fields. Faculty appointment is scheduled to begin in March 2021.
We are particularly interested in junior scholars of outstanding promise, who have experience in developing interdisciplinary research programs in line with the mission of the institution. Successful candidates should have a doctorate in her/his relevant discipline by the time of appointment, a strong publication record which includes SSCI or A&HCI publications, and should be able to provide evidence of excellence in teaching.
KAIST is an internationally ranked and renowned research university based in Daejeon, South Korea. As a rapidly expanding global institution, KAIST mandates English as the primary language of instruction. Salaries and benefits are comparable to those of major research universities in the U.S., and negotiable depending on qualifications. In addition, on- or off-campus housing, subsidies for settlement expenses, and start-up funding for research will be provided. KAIST is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
