EFL Program (http://hss.kaist.ac.kr:8090/sub10/01_06.php) at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST- https://www.kaist.ac.kr/en/), South Korea, is opening its search for a full-time position of EFL faculty. KAIST is Korea’s most prominent and world-renown science and engineering institution. We teach most of the courses in English; therefore, English language education is given high emphasis. Its campus is located in the Daedeok Innopolis (http://innopolis.or.kr/eng/), Korea’s R&D center, 150 km south of Seoul. It takes 50 minutes from the capital city by the Korean bullet trains (KTX & SRT).     
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics;
  • Native-like fluency;
  • Minimum two-year teaching experience at the college level
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in teaching EFL to science and engineering students
  • Expertise in teaching writing in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) contexts
  • Experience in CLIL/EMI (Content and language integrated learning/English-medium
    instruction)

DUTIES: Teaching 12 hours per week in spring and fall semesters; 2 additional weekly hours of teaching or tutoring; curriculum development; serving on committees, and performing other university-related responsibilities. (When teaching obligations are not fulfilled in the spring/fall, teaching in the summer/winter is required without additional pay.)

SALARY & BENEFITS: Commensurate with qualifications and experience plus a housing allowance and other benefits.
